✧ Raising the hands in supplication at Arafah.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ قَالَ

قَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ كُنْتُ رِدْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِعَرَفَاتٍ «فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ يَدْعُو فَمَالَتْ بِهِ نَاقَتُهُ فَسَقَطَ خِطَامُهَا فَتَنَاوَلَ الْخِطَامَ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَهُ الْأُخْرَى»

Translation

✧ Usamah b. Zayd said: 'I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ at Arafat. He raised his hands in supplication, and his she-camel swayed with him, so its halter fell. He reached for the halter with one of his hands while still raising his other hand.'
