أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ

عَنْ مُعْتَمِرٍ قَدِمَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يَطُفْ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ أَيَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ؟ قَالَ «قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا وَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ سَبْعًا وَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ»

✧ About a mu'tamir who arrived and circumambulated the House but did not go between al-Safa and al-Marwah, may he go to his family? He said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, circumambulated the House seven times, prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam, and went between al-Safa and al-Marwah seven times. Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ you have a good example."
