✧ The importance of receiving the two corners.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَا أَرَاكَ تَسْتَلِمُ إِلَّا هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ مَسْحَهُمَا يَحُطُّ الْخَطِيئَةَ»

Translation

  4. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUbayd b. ʿUmayr
  5. a man

✧ O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, I see that you touch only these two corners. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Wiping them removes sins."
