أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْمَكِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ وَسَأَلْنَاهُ

عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَدِمَ مُعْتَمِرًا فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يَطُفْ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ أَيَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ؟ فَقَالَ لَنَا «قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ أُسْبُوعًا وَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ»

✧ About a man who came for Umrah and performed tawaf of the House but did not go between Safa and Marwah—can he go to his wife? He said to us: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and performed tawaf of the House seven times, prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam, and went between Safa and Marwah. You have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example.
