✧ Abandoning the raising of hands when seeing the Kaaba

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ بُنْدَارٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي غُنْدَرًا قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا قَزَعَةُ الْبَاهِلِيُّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ الْمَكِّيِّ قَالَ

سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَرَى الْبَيْتَ أَيَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ؟ قَالَ «مَا كُنْتُ أَظُنُّ أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا إِلَّا الْيَهُودُ حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ نَكُنْ نَفْعَلُهُ»

"Jabir bin Abdullah was asked whether a man should raise his hands when he sees the House. He said: "I do not think that anyone does that except the Jews. We performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah and we did not do that." (Daif) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2895)
