✧ What should someone do if they are unable to perform Hajj and did not stipulate it?

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُنْكِرُ الِاشْتِرَاطَ فِي الْحَجِّ وَيَقُولُ «مَا حَسْبُكُمْ سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ فَإِنْ حَبَسَ أَحَدَكُمْ حَابِسٌ فَلْيَأْتِ الْبَيْتَ فَلْيَطُفْ بِهِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ لِيَحْلِقْ أَوْ لْيُقَصِّرْ ثُمَّ لِيَحِلَّ وَعَلَيْهِ الْحَجُّ مِنْ قَابِلٍ»

Translation

✧ He used to reject stipulating conditions in Hajj, saying, 'Is not the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ sufficient for you? He did not stipulate. So if anyone of you is prevented by an obstacle, let him come to the House and circumambulate it and go between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah, then shave or shorten his hair, then exit ihram. He must perform Hajj the following year.'
