أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ خُشَيْشُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ النَّسَائِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّ أَبِي مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ «أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أَبِيكَ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَدَيْنُ اللهِ أَحَقُّ»

✧ A man said: 'O Prophet of Allah, my father died without performing Hajj; should I perform Hajj on his behalf?' He said: 'Do you think that if your father had a debt, would you pay it?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'So the debt owed to Allah is more deserving.'
