✧ The prohibition of killing

أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ هُوَ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا تَوَاجَهَ الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَقَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ» قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا الْقَاتِلُ فَمَا بَالُ الْمَقْتُولِ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّهُ أَرَادَ قَتْلَ صَاحِبِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When two Muslims face each other with their swords and one of them kills his companion, the killer and the killed are both in the Fire." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, this is the killer, but what about the one killed?" He said: "He intended to kill his companion."
