al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 35

✧ The prohibition for those who have performed ablution to speak

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَدِّي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا يَخْرُجُ اثْنَانِ إِلَى الْغَائِطِ فَيَجْلِسَانِ كَاشِفَيْنِ عَنْ عَوْرَتِهِمَا فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَمْقُتُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ»

Translation

  5. Abū Hurayrah

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said, "Two people should not go out to defecate and sit uncovering their private parts while conversing, for Allah is disgusted by that."
