أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَدِمَ نَاسٌ مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَاجْتَوَوُا الْمَدِينَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَوْ خَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى ذَوْدِنَا فَشَرِبْتُمْ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا» قَالَ وَقَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَأَبْوَالِهَا فَخَرَجُوا إِلَى ذَوْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا صَحُّوا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُؤْمِنًا وَاسْتَاقُوا ذَوْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَانْطَلَقُوا مُحَارِبِينَ فَأَرْسَلَ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَأُخِذُوا فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ

✧ Some people from 'Uraynah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found Madinah unhealthy. The Prophet ﷺ said to them: "If you would go out to our herd and drink from its milk." He said: Qatadah said: "and its urine." So they went out to the herd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When they recovered, they disbelieved after their Islam, killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was a believer, drove off the herd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and departed as warriors. He sent after them, and they were captured. He cut off their hands and feet and gouged out their eyes.
