✧ The Sign of Laylat al-Qadr

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا حُذَيْفَةَ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «نَظَرْتُ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَرَأَيْتُهُ كَأَنَّهُ فَلَقُ جَفْنَةٍ» قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِنَّمَا يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ صَبِيحَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ

Translation

✧ From a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "I looked at the moon on Laylat al-Qadr and saw it as if it were the half of a bowl." Abū Isḥāq said: That is only on the morning of the twenty-third.
