أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يُعْتَكَفُ الْعَشْرُ الْأَوَاخِرُ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو فَإِنْ كَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو كُنْيَتُهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ فَلَعَلَّهُ وَمُهَاجِرٌ كُنْيَتُهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنُ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ شُعْبَةُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ "used to have the last ten days observed as i'tikaf." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: This hadith was narrated by Muhammad b. Amr; if Muhammad b. Amr's kunyah is Abu al-Hasan, then perhaps he and Muhajir, whose kunyah is Abu al-Hasan, and Shu'bah narrated from him.
