أَخْبَرَنِي مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ أَتَانِي رَجُلَانِ فَأَخَذَا بِضَبْعَيَّ» وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَا بِي فَإِذَا قَوْمٌ مُعَلَّقُونَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهِمْ مُشَقَّقَةٌ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ تَسِيلُ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ دَمًا قُلْتُ «مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ؟» قَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يُفْطِرُونَ قَبْلَ تَحِلَّةِ صَوْمِهِمْ فَقَالَ «خَابَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى» قَالَ سُلَيْمٌ فَلَا أَدْرِي شَيْءٌ سَمِعَهُ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ شَيْءٌ مِنْ رَأْيِهِ مُخْتَصَرٌ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "While I was sleeping, two men came to me and took me by my upper arms," and he narrated the hadith. In it he said: "Then they set off with me, and behold, there were people suspended by their Achilles tendons, their mouths torn, their mouths flowing with blood." I said: "Who are these?" He said: "These are the ones who break their fast before the time of breaking their fast." Then he said: "May the Jews and the Christians perish." Sulaym said: I do not know whether this is something Abu Umamah heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or something from his own opinion. It is abbreviated.
