أَخْبَرَنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمَقْبُرِيَّ يَقُولُ كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يُفْتِي النَّاسَ
أَنَّهُ مَنْ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا فَلَا يَصُمْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ فَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ عَائِشَةُ لَا تُحَدِّثْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا «فَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ» فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَنِيهِ

✧ That whoever wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity should not fast that day. So 'A'ishah sent to him: Do not narrate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ anything like this, 'for I testify concerning the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he would wake up in a state of major ritual impurity from his family, then fast.' Ibn 'Abbas said: He narrated it to me.
