أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ رَاحِلَتَهُ أَيَّامَ مِنًى فَيَصِيحَ فِي النَّاسِ لَا يَصُمْ أَحَدٌ فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ قَالَ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ يُنَادِي بِذَلِكَ

✧ From a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded Abdullah b. Hudhafah to ride his mount during the days of Mina and shout among the people: “No one should fast, for they are days of eating and drinking.” He said: I saw him on his mount calling out that.
