أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ حَسَنٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ بِسِتٍّ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَقَدْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ كُلَّهُ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ عُمَرُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts Ramaḍān and then follows it with six days of Shawwāl has fasted the entire age.” Abu ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: This is erroneous, and the correct version is ʿUmar b. Thābit.
