✧ The breakfast of the Day of Arafah in Arafah and the mention of the differences regarding Ayyub in the report of b. Abbas in it.

أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ دَعَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ إِلَى الطَّعَامِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ

عَبْدُ اللهِ لَا تَصُمْ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قُرِّبَ إِلَيْهِ حِلَابٌ فِيهِ لَبَنٍ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ «فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ فَلَا تَصُمْ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يَسْتَنُّونَ بِكُمْ»

✧ O Abdullah, do not fast, for the Prophet ﷺ was brought a vessel containing milk on the Day of Arafah, and he drank from it. So do not fast, for the people take their example from you.
