✧ The fasting of the Day of Arafah and the virtue in it, and the mention of the differences among the narrators of the hadith of Abu Qatadah regarding it.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ السَّدُوسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَوْمُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ كَفَّارَةُ سَنَتَيْنِ سَنَةٍ قَبْلَهُ وَسَنَةٍ بَعْدَهُ وَصَوْمُ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ كَفَّارَةُ سَنَةٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fasting the day of Arafah is an expiation for two years, the year before it and the year after it, and fasting the day of Ashura is an expiation for one year."
