✧ License in fasting on Friday, and mentioning the difference between Sa'id and Shu'bah regarding the report of 'Abdullah bin 'Amr in it.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَهِيَ صَائِمَةٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا «أَصُمْتِ أَمْسِ؟» قَالَتْ لَا قَالَ «أَتُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تَصُومِي غَدًا؟» قَالَتْ لَا قَالَ «فَأَفْطِرِي»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Juwayriyah bt. al-Harith on a Friday while she was fasting. He said to her: “Did you fast yesterday?” She said: “No.” He said: “Do you intend to fast tomorrow?” She said: “No.” He said: “Then break your fast.”
