✧ Prohibition of fasting on Friday.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ أَنَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ

Translation

✧ I asked Jabir b. Abd Allah while he was circling the House: "Did the Prophet ﷺ forbid fasting on Friday?" He said, "Yes, by the Lord of this House."
