أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ أَنبأَنا أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِهَذِهِ الْأَيَّامِ الثَّلَاثِةِ الْبِيضِ وَيَقُولُ «هُنَّ صِيَامُ الشَّهْرِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlá
  2. Khālid
  3. Shuʿbah Anbʾanā Anas b. Sīrīn
  4. a man Yuqāl Lah ʿAbd al-Malik from his father

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command these three white days and say: "They are the fasting of the month."
