al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 2667

✧ The fasting of the Prophet ﷺ with his father and mother, and the mention of the differences of the narrators in that.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يُفْطِرُ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُومَ وَمَا صَامَ شَهْرًا مُتَتَابِعًا غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ مُنْذُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ»

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ "fasted until we said he would not break his fast, and he broke his fast until we said he did not intend to fast; and he did not fast a complete month other than Ramadan since he came to Madinah."
