أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لِحَاجَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَتَغَدَّى فَقَالَ «هَلُمَّ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ» فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَلُمَّ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الصَّوْمِ إِنَّهُ وُضِعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ نِصْفُ الصَّلَاةِ وَالصَّوْمُ وَرُخِّصَ لِلْحُبْلَى وَالْمُرْضِعِ» 2599 أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ نَحْوَهُ

Translation

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ for some need, and there he was having lunch. He said, “Come to lunch.” I said, “I am fasting.” Then he said, “Come, I will tell you about the fast: half of the prayer and the fasting are lifted from the traveler, and concession is given to the pregnant woman and the nursing mother.” 2599 Suwayd narrated to us; he said: Abdullah narrated to us, from Khalid, from Abu al-Ala b. al-Shikhkhir, from the man, something similar.
