أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَسَنٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا قَدْ ظُلِّلَ عَلَيْهِ فِي السَّفَرِ فَقَالَ «لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدِيثُ شُعْبَةَ هَذَا هُوَ الصَّحِيحُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man who had been shaded for while traveling, so he said, “Fasting while traveling is not part of righteousness.” Abu Abd al-Rahman said: This hadith of Shu'bah is the correct one.
