✧ The reward of the one who observes Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, and the mention of the disagreement regarding al-Zuhri in the narration about that.

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَقَالَ فِيهِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُرَغِّبُهُمْ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِعَزِيمَةِ أَمْرٍ فِيهِ فَيَقُولُ «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out in the middle of the night and prayed in the mosque, and he mentioned the hadith. In it he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to encourage them to stand in prayer during Ramadan without commanding them to do so as an obligatory matter, saying: Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.
