أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ كَهْمَسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الضُّحَى؟ قَالَتْ «لَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَجِيءَ مِنْ مَغِيبِهِ» قُلْتُ أَكَانَ يَصُومُ شَهْرًا كُلَّهُ؟ قَالَتْ «مَا عَلِمْتُهُ صَامَ شَهْرًا كُلَّهُ إِلَّا رَمَضَانَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ حَتَّى يَصُومَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى مَضَى لِسَبِيلِهِ»

✧ I said to Aisha: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray the Duha prayer? She said: No, except when he returned from a journey. I said: Did he fast a whole month? She said: I did not know him to fast a whole month except Ramadan, and he did not break his fast until he fasted from it until he passed away.
