أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي شَهْرٍ مِنَ السَّنَةِ أَكْثَرَ صِيَامًا مِنْهُ فِي شَعْبَانَ كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ كُلَّهُ»

Translation

  2. Muʿādh b. Hishām from my father
  3. Yaḥyá b. Abū Kathīr
  4. Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman
  5. ʿĀʾishah

✧ "The Messenger of God ﷺ did not fast in any month of the year more than he fasted in Sha'ban; he used to fast all of Sha'ban."
