✧ The ablution of the one in a state of major ritual impurity when he intends to eat

أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو كَانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ زَادَ عَمْرٌو فِي حَدِيثِهِ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ, or as Amr said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whenever he wanted to eat or sleep while in a state of major ritual impurity, would perform ablution. Amr added in his report: his ablution for prayer.
