أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

تَسَحَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ثُمَّ قَامَا فَدَخَلَا فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قُلْنَا لِأَنَسٍ كَمْ كَانَ بَيْنَ فَرَاغِهِمَا وَدُخُولِهِمَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ قَدْرُ مَا يَقْرَأُ الْإِنْسَانُ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Zayd b. Thabit took suhoor, then they stood up and entered into the morning prayer. We said to Anas: How much was there between their finishing and their entering into the prayer? He said: The amount of time it takes a person to recite fifty verses.
