أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ

تَمَارُوا فِي الْغُسْلِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ إِنِّي لَأَغْتَسِلُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَمَّا أَنَا فَإِنِّي أُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثَ أَكُفٍّ»

Translation

  5. Jubayr b. Muṭʿim

✧ They argued about ghusl in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some of the people said, “I bathe in such and such a way.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “As for me, I pour three handfuls over my head.”
