أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ شَابُورَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ أَرْبَعُونَ دِرْهَمًا فَهُوَ مُلْحِفٌ»

Translation

  3. Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah
  4. Dāwud b. Shābūr
  5. ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb from his father from his grandfather

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks while he has forty dirhams is a persistent beggar."
