✧ The virtue of someone who does not ask people for anything

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ يَضْمَنُ لِي وَاحِدَةً وَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ؟» قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ هَاهُنَا كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا أَلَّا يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who will guarantee me one thing and Paradise will be his?" Yahya said, "He said a word here meaning that he should not ask people for anything."
