✧ Who Killed His Own Belly?

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَامِعُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ يَسَارٍ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ وَخَالِدِ بْنِ عُرْفُطَةَ فَذَكَرُوا رَجُلًا تُوُفِّيَ مَاتَ بِبَطْنِهِ فَإِذَا هُمَا يَشْتَهِيَانِ أَنْ يَكُونَا شَهِدَا جَنَازَتَهُ فَقَالَ

أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ يقْتُلُهُ بَطْنُهُ فَلَنْ يُعَذَّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ؟» فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ بَلَى

Translation

✧ One of them said to the other: "Did not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever is killed by his stomach will not be punished in his grave'?" The other said: "Yes."
