✧ The funeral procession

أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ عَنْ زَاذَانَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ

«خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْقَبْرِ وَلَمَّا يُلْحَدْ فَجَلَسَ وَجَلَسْنَا حَوْلَهُ كَأَنَّ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا الطَّيْرَ»

Translation

✧ “We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a funeral procession. When we reached the grave, before it was dug, he sat down and we sat around him, as if birds were on our heads.”
