أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ خَالَتِهَا عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ

أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِصَبِيٍّ مِنْ صِبْيَانِ الْأَنْصَارِ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَقُلْتُ طُوبَى لِهَذَا عُصْفُورٌ مِنْ عَصَافِيرِ الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْهُ قَالَ أَوَ «غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ يَا عَائِشَةُ خَلَقَ اللهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَخَلَقَ لَهَا أَهْلًا وَخَلَقَهُمْ فِي أَصْلَابِ آبَائِهِمْ وَخَلَقَ النَّارَ وَخَلَقَ لَهَا أَهْلًا وَخَلَقَهُمْ فِي أَصْلَابِ آبَائِهِمُ»

Translation

✧ A young boy from among the children of the Ansar was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that he could pray over him. 'A'ishah said: "I said, 'Blessed is this one—a sparrow among the sparrows of Paradise. He never committed any evil nor reached the age of accountability.'" He said: "Or other than that, O 'A'ishah? Allah created Paradise and created its inhabitants, and He created them while they were still in the loins of their fathers. And He created the Fire and created its inhabitants, and He created them while they were still in the loins of their fathers."
