✧ Prohibition of Insulting the Dead

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَتْبَعُ الْمَيِّتُ ثَلَاثَةٌ أَهْلُهُ وَمَالُهُ وَعَمَلُهُ فَيَرْجِعُ اثْنَانِ أَهْلُهُ وَمَالُهُ وَيَبْقَى وَاحِدٌ وَهُوَ عَمَلُهُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Three things follow the deceased: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Two return: his family and his wealth; and one remains: his deeds."
