✧ The purification from menstruation and postpartum bleeding

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ ابْنَةَ قَيْسٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدِ قُرَيْشٍ

أَنَّهَا أَتَتِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَتْ أَنَّهَا تُسْتَحَاضُ فَزَعَمَتْ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْتَسِلِي وَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ ثُمَّ صَلِّي»

✧ She came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that she experienced prolonged vaginal bleeding. She claimed that he said: "That is only a vein. When the menstruation comes, abandon the prayer, and when it departs, perform ghusl, wash the blood from yourself, then pray."
