✧ The Shroud of the Prophet ﷺ

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
«كُفِّنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ بِيضٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ كُرْسُفٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا قَمِيصٌ وَلَا عِمَامَةٌ» قَالَ فَذُكِرَ لِعَائِشَةَ قَوْلُهُمْ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَبُرْدٍ حِبَرَةٍ قَالَتْ قَدْ أُتِيَ بِالْبُرْدِ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ رَدُّوهُ وَلَمْ يُكَفِّنُوهُ فِيهِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was shrouded in three white Yemeni cotton garments, with no shirt and no turban. He said: It was mentioned to 'A'ishah their statement about two garments and a striped cloak. She said: The cloak was brought but they returned it and did not shroud him in it.
