أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الحُصَيْنٍ قَالَ «§الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِنِيَاحَةِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ» فَقَالَ

لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا مَاتَ بِخُرَاسَانَ وَنَاحَ أَهْلُهُ عَلَيْهِ هَاهُنَا أَكَانَ يُعَذَّبُ بِنِيَاحَةِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ؟ قَالَ «صَدَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَكَذَبْتَ أَنْتَ»

✧ A man said to him: "What do you think of a man who died in Khurasan and his family wailed over him here? Would he be punished due to their wailing?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke the truth, and you are wrong."
