✧ The positive aspects of washing for a woman when she has a wet dream and sees water.

أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً قَالَتْ

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ هَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ غُسْلٌ إِذَا احْتَلَمَتْ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ» فَضَحِكَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ وَقَالَتْ أَتَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَبِمَ يُشْبِهُ الْوَلَدُ؟»

✧ "O Messenger of Allah, Allah is not shy of the truth. Does a woman have to perform ghusl if she has a wet dream?" He said: "Yes, if she sees water (semen)." Umm Salamah laughed and said: "Does a woman have a wet dream?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Then how does the child resemble [the parents]?"
