أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ ثُمَّ كَتَبَ بِهِ إِلَيَّ
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عَلَى أَعْوَادِ مِنْبَرِهِ «لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ عَنْ وَدْعِهِمُ الْجُمُعَاتِ أَوْ لَيُخْتَمَنَّ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ ثُمَّ لَيَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ»

✧ From Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah that they both heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the planks of his pulpit, “Let people stop neglecting Friday prayers, or Allah will seal their hearts, and then they will be among the heedless.”
