✧ Command to perform ablution

أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَهْضَمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ

وَاللهِ «مَا خَصَّنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِشَيْءٍ دُونَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْيَاءٍ فَإِنَّهُ أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نُسْبِغَ الْوُضُوءَ وَلَا نَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ وَلَا نُنْزِيَ الْحُمُرَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ»

Translation

✧ By God, the Messenger of God ﷺ did not single us out for anything apart from the people except three things: we were commanded to perform ablution thoroughly, not to consume charity, and not to mate donkeys with horses.
