✧ The benefits of ablution

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ «وَأَخْرَجَ بِلَالٌ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ فَابْتَدَرَهُ النَّاسُ وَرَكَزَ لَهُ الْعَنَزَةَ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَالْحُمُرُ وَالْكِلَابُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ يَمُرُّونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ»

Translation

✧ I witnessed the Prophet ﷺ at al-Batha'. Bilal brought out the leftover water of his ablution, and the people rushed to it. He fixed a spear for him and prayed with the people while donkeys, dogs, and women passed in front of him.
