✧ The wiping on the socks and the two slippers

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «مَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّ أَحَدًا تَابَعَ أَبَا قَيْسٍ عَلَى هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةِ وَالصَّحِيحُ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

Translation

  6. al-Mughīrah b. Shuʿbah

✧ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ “wiped over the two socks and the two sandals.” Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman said, “We do not know that anyone followed Abu Qays in this narration, and the correct report from al-Mughirah is that the Prophet ﷺ wiped over the two leather socks, and Allah knows best.”
