عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ قَمِيرٍ امْرَأَةِ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَتْ

مَا كَانَ مَسْرُوقٌ يُوجَدُ إِلَّا وَسَاقَاهُ قَدِ انْتَفَخَتَا مِنْ طُولِ الْقِيَامِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَتْ وَاللهِ إِنْ كُنْتُ لِأَجْلِسُ خَلْفَهُ فَأَبْكِي رَحْمَةً لَهُ

✧ "What was stolen cannot be found except for his legs, swollen from the prolonged standing in prayer," she said, "By Allah, if I were to sit behind him, I would weep out of mercy for him."
