عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُجْرٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّهُ كَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ كَرِهَ لَكُمْ ثَلَاثًا قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَإِضَاعَةَ الْمَالِ وَكَثْرَةَ السُّؤَالِ وَنَهَى عَنْ عُقُوقِ الْأُمَّهَاتِ وَوَأْدِ الْبَنَاتِ وَمَنَعِ وَهَاتِ

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "Allah has disliked for you three things: idle talk, wasting wealth, and excessive asking." And he forbade disobedience to mothers, burying daughters alive, and withholding and demanding.
