✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection, and they will say: If only we could intercede with our Lord so that He might relieve us from this place of ours. They will go until they come to Adam ﷺ and say: O Adam, you are the father of mankind; Allah created you with His hand and breathed into you of His spirit, and made the angels prostrate to you, and taught you the names of all things. Intercede for us with your Lord so that He might relieve us from this place of ours. He will say: I am not the one for that, and he will mention his sin which he committed by eating from the tree, but go to Noah ﷺ, for he is the first messenger Allah sent. They will come to Noah and he will say: I am not the one for that, and he will mention his sin which he committed by asking his Lord for that of which he had no knowledge, but go to Abraham ﷺ, the close friend of the Most Merciful. They will come to Abraham and he will say: I am not the one for that, and he will mention his three lies: his saying, "I am sick," his saying, "Rather, the biggest of them did it," and his saying to Sarah when he came upon the tyrant, "Tell him that I am your brother, for I will tell him that you are my sister, for we are two siblings in the Book of Allah; there is no believer on earth, male or female, other than us." But go to Moses ﷺ, whom Allah spoke to and to whom He gave the Torah. [232] They will come to Moses ﷺ and he will say: I am not the one for that, and he will mention his sin which he committed by killing the man, but go to Jesus ﷺ, the servant of Allah and His messenger, from His word and His spirit. They will come to Jesus and he will say: I am not the one for that, but go to Muhammad ﷺ, a servant whose past and future sins Allah has forgiven.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'They will come to me, and I will ask permission from my Lord, and permission will be granted to me. When I see my Lord, I will fall prostrate, and He will leave me as long as Allah wills to leave me. Then He will say to me: Raise your head, O Muhammad; speak and you will be heard; intercede and you will be granted intercession; ask and you will be given. I will raise my head and praise my Lord with a praise He will teach me. Then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me, and I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them to Paradise. Then I will return to my Lord a second time and fall prostrate, and He will say to me the like of that. I will raise my head, and He will set a limit for me, and I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them to Paradise. Then I will return to my Lord a third time and fall prostrate, and He will say to me the like of that. I will raise my head, and He will set a limit for me, and I will bring them out of the Fire. Then I will return a fourth time and say: O Lord, there is no one left in the Fire except those whom the Quran has detained. He will say: Yes, that is, those for whom eternal abode has become binding.' Qatadah said: That is the Praiseworthy Station.
