أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ «يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ مَا لِي أَسْمَعُ الرِّجَالَ يُذْكَرُونَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَالنِّسَاءُ لَا يُذْكَرْنَ؟» فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ} [الأحزاب 35]

✧ That she said to the Prophet ﷺ: “O Prophet of Allah, why do I hear men mentioned in the Qur'an but women are not mentioned?” Then Allah ﷻ revealed: {Indeed the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women} [al-Ahzab 35].
