أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُبَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

فِينَا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي مُبَارَزَتِنَا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ {هَذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ} [الحج 19]

✧ Concerning us this verse was revealed on the occasion of our duel on the day of Badr: {These are two adversaries who disputed about their Lord} [al-Ḥajj 19].
