أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَزِعًا يَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ» قَالَ وَحَلَّقَ بِأُصْبُعِهِ الْإِبْهَامِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon her alarmed, saying: "There is no god but Allah. Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near. Today a breach has been opened in the barrier of Ya'juj and Ma'juj like this," and he made a circle with his thumb and the finger next to it. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, will we perish while the righteous are among us?' He said: "Yes, when wickedness abounds."
